Before we were born, God planned our path. A path that would take twists and turns and introduce us to family, friends, and perfect strangers. A path that would lead us on a journey of discovery, dreams, sadness, hurt, happiness, wellness, illness, death, excitement, wonder, work, play, and love. A path that would be unpredictable and full of surprises. A path packed with daily choices to make; whether good or bad. A path that all would occasionally stray from, with some regaining their footing, while others remain meandering, trying to find their way back. Some, unfortunately, would wonder too far off their path and remain lost, and struggle, losing hope of ever finding their way again……..
I believe that before we were born, God in His wisdom, orchestrated many lives that would interweave with ours through seasons, timing, and purpose.
A Journey Down a Winding Path………..
Throughout my life, I often pondered about the wonderful people I met on my path; how they influenced me, inspired me, and taught me lessons that shaped me into the woman I am today. That wondering continues, as I meet and make new friends, who always continue to enrich and change my life.
Right person, Right time, Right time……
I do not believe in coincidence. I do believe in God’s perfect timing. A timing that brings just the right person, at just the right time. The right place is of God’s choosing; at work, at home, in church, at a mall, on vacation; even walking down a street or a country road.
Amazing……….
It always amazes me how the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life. I believe as we walk our path each day, opportunities abound, to touch a life and bring a little sunshine into a heart that is lonely or hurting. I also believe these folks are on our path, for a reason. It might be a one-time meeting, but that one time, could mean the world to that person, The next time you are out and about, just smile and see what happens. You might just be the one to make a difference.
Who’s on your path?……..
Think about the path you have traveled. Who did you meet? Were they on your path to help you in any way or were you on their path to receive something you needed? Remember, our paths cross others, many others. Everything happens for a reason, and those we meet on our winding path are helping us get to our destinations as we are helping them.
My heartfelt thoughts……..
I believe that we are all connected and truly loved. I believe in kindness and helping others. And, I believe that we are all here to help each other. So, take a walk, smile your smile, help when you can, and see what happens. You might be surprised that by helping others, you are really helping yourself.
Finally……..
My blog (story) is part of a novel I am working on titled: A Journey Down a Winding Path. I think you will like the characters and how each path traveled brought life changes, disappointments, tears, laughter, and love to a fictional family. Be prepared to laugh, cry and cheer as you become part of the daily lives, of each family member. Stay tuned!
