Today’s story is brought to you by someone who is wholeheartedly committed to her friends.
My definition of a friend is someone who cares about you, listens, gives excellent advice, laughs at your silly jokes, has a shoulder that is always ready to catch your tears, believes and encourages you, walks with you during the tough times, and celebrates with you in the good times. They are often in your life for the long haul.
Sometimes we meet people who come into our lives and stay for a short time. I believe the life we are living is like a path so to speak. A road we walk every day. A way filled with twists and turns, then like a compass gets us to the place we are destined to find.
I like to think of those new friends as being in the right place at the right time, waiting to meet us, waiting to help us in a time of need, or perhaps we were waiting to help them. Non the less, those short-term friends often leave a lasting impression on our hearts and remain in our thoughts.
Then there are the friends we have yet to meet. Maybe they will be a short-term friend, or perhaps they will be a friend for life. However, they are always welcomed in our hearts.
I love and appreciate my friends. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have them in my life. They are always there for me, and I am there for them. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for them.
They support my love of writing and continue to encourage me every step of the way. We celebrate the good times and rally during the difficult times. They have become my extended family of sisters. I love everything about them, their laughter, their kind hearts, and their selflessness.
Friends are stars that sparkle like diamonds each night in the dark sky. They brighten our lives when shadows of storms cloud our souls. Friends are the rainbows of our lives. Invite them into your heart, cherish them, respect them, have fun with them, change the world with them, stand by their side, and above all, love them.
