A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM SKYLER

Skyler was born on July 1st, 2016. He was a beautiful little baby boy, with a smile that melted the heart of anyone who gazed at him. Little did we know that on July 29th, 2016, he would take his journey to heaven. We were devastated and heartbroken beyond words. As a way of dealing with my grief, I started writing letters to him in heaven.  Each letter brought a little peace back into my heart. Then one day, I decided to have him write again with a lesson and a glimpse into what heaven might be like.  In today’s letter,  Skyler writes his Gigi a letter with an important message that everyone needs to hear.   I hope the Skyler Letters will bring you peace, hope, and love.

Dear Gigi,

I think about you every day. Sometimes I visit you when you are sitting on your rocking chair. The one that is on your front porch. I like to sit on your lap and rock with you.  Please tell my family that I am always with them. Tell them that I love them very much.

Gigi, three days ago, Gabriel blew his horn really loud. Remember that means I have to get to the Story Hill as soon I can.  As I was walking to the Story Hill, someone took my hand. When I looked up a woman with short brown hair, smiled at me.  She told her name was aunt Emma.

When we got to the Story Hill, I sat next to aunt Emma. Soon, three angels walked on the path. They each held four pink roses. Behind them was our Teacher. We call Him, Jesus.  It always gets very quiet when Jesus is near us.  Gigi, today, I touched the bottom part of Jesus’ robe. It made my fingers tingle. He smiled at me.  Gigi, my heart felt the love Jesus has in His heart for all His children.

 In heaven, His love floats around the trees, between the flowers, and over the paths we walk on. Gigi, it is amazing how His love flies with the butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and every insect, bird, and animal that walks through heaven. His love is everywhere!  It twinkles in the stars and touches my face when the wind blows.  Gigi, I have a secret to tell you. Are you ready?  If you love Jesus with your whole heart, you can feel Him, too. Please tell everyone you know, how much He loves His children. Because He really does.

Today, Jesus told us about faith. He told us that faith is trusting in what we believe. It is like baking a cake. We put all the ingredients in and have faith and hope that it will turn out to be very delicious. Our faith connects us to Him. It helps us to understand that He is our Father and We are His children. Faith helps build a relationship with Him.

Jesus always reminds us how important love and faith is. He told us if we believe in His love, we should reach out and try to help others. I help all the animals in heaven. Gigi, I love them. Sometimes, my friends and I help bring them over the bridge.

Gigi, please tell everyone how important it is to have a heart filled with love.  Imagine if each person stopped and tried to be kind to everyone they meet.

When you help others, you help your heart to fill up with love. When your heart is filled, you will feel Jesus in every word you say and everything you do. Wow! I know that would make Jesus so happy. Gigi, tell everyone not to give up. Tell them that Jesus walks with them every day. Tell them that Jesus really, really loves them with His whole heart.

One more thing, Gigi, tell everyone that when we make mistakes if we say we are sorry, He hears us and will forgive us. When we are forgiven and when we forgive, love will start to grow.  Love is a forever word, an unconditional word, a forgiving word.

Gigi, I love you more than all the stars in the sky. Tell my family that I am okay and am happy.
